Psychotherapy -- also called "talk therapy" -- is a process in which psychological problems are treated through communication and the professional relationship between an individual and a trained mental health professional. Zack's approach to psychotherapy is systemic in nature, always taking into account the ways in which all aspects of a person’s life are interconnected - if one element is unbalanced, than other aspects will inevitably be impacted as well. The goal of psychotherapy is to uncover, discuss and resolve the various parts of one's life that are hindering their ability to thrive. Zack's psychotherapy sessions are 50 minutes and take place in his office.
Coaching is a therapeutic alliance between coach and client that focuses on skill building and the accomplishment of both short and long term goals. It differs from psychotherapy in that it is more task oriented and direct in nature. Coaching is great for those who have a desire to change a specific aspect of their life such as shifting careers or living a healthier lifestyle. Coaching sessions are 1 hour and can take place in any location.
Case Management involves the coordination of care with a client and their family for various life issues including: mental health disorders, eating disorders, and addiction issues.
